Analog Electronics Laboratory

Prof. Saurabh Saxena, an Associate Professor in the VLSI group of the Department of Electrical Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology Madras. Prof. Saxena earned his Ph.D. in Electrical & Computer Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC) in 2015, where he was a part of the Integrated Circuits and Systems Group under the mentorship of Prof. Pavan Kumar Hanumolu. His doctoral research focused on architectural and circuit-level techniques for energy-efficient high-speed serial links.

Prior to his time at UIUC, Prof. Saxena served as a research assistant at Oregon State University between 2009 and 2011. There, he worked under the guidance of Prof. Kartikeya Mayaram and Prof. Terri Fiez, designing high-speed discrete-time delta-sigma modulators for baseband applications.

Prof. Saxena's academic journey began at IIT Madras, where he graduated in 2009 with a B.Tech. and M.Tech. in Electrical Engineering through the dual degree program. His extensive experience and contributions to the field of VLSI and integrated circuits make him a distinguished member of the academic community.

Prof. Nagendra Krishnapura is a distinguished faculty member in the Integrated Circuits and Systems group of the Department of Electrical Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras. He specializes in analog and mixed-signal integrated circuits and signal processing, contributing significantly to advancements in these areas.

Prof. Krishnapura completed his Ph.D. at Columbia University, New York, in October 2000. His doctoral research, under the mentorship of Prof. Yannis Tsividis at the Columbia Integrated Systems Laboratory, focused on nonlinear analog signal processing for low-power integrated circuits. He earned his B.Tech. in Electronics and Communications Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, in 1996.

Between 2000 and 2005, Prof. Krishnapura worked as a senior design engineer at Celight, Inc. and later at Multilink (which became part of Vitesse Semiconductor). During this time, he was instrumental in designing integrated circuits for high-speed communications. Additionally, from 2003 to 2005, he served as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at Columbia University, where he taught courses on Analog Circuit Design.

Prof. Krishnapura's extensive experience in both academia and industry underscores his deep expertise and leadership in the field of analog and mixed-signal integrated circuits.
